New In: The big sweat

One of my key items this spring would be the oversized sweatshirt. I often wear it during lazy weekends, when I don’t want to think about what to wear too much. During the week I like wearing it with something contrasting, for example a girly skirt or printed trousers. It’s a perfect piece to give a casual twist to any look, and it’s super comfortable. Win-win!

Skirt: Vero Moda
Sweatshirt: Selected Femme

Monday Inspiration: Hair Styles

I’m currently going through one of those periods that I don’t really know what to do with my hair. About two years ago I felt brave enough to chop it right off, and I have to admit that I am kind of feeling the blunt chop again right now. On the other hand though, my hair is just about to get the length I had before I cut it off and I do like the stuff you can do with longer hair (braiding, make voluminous knots/buns etc..) So I am far from settling the matter. Luckily we have Tumblr and Pinterest, so I am spending my days loving and pinning my favorite hair styles 😉 What about you, do you go through the occasional “I am bored with my hair” times, too?

A short story

Yesterday the weather was incredibly sunny and warm for this time of the year, it instantly got me in summer mood. I jumped into my vintage 501’s and it honestly felt good to be able to bare some skin again. To dress it down a bit -as it is not actually summer yet- I decided to wear a jumper and ankle boots with it. Fingers crossed the weather will stay like this. Anyway, enjoy your weekend!

Ps. I updated my shop again, added 50+ (as) new items! Check it out here.

Shorts: vintage Levi’s
Jumper / Necklace: H&M Spring Collection
Boots: Mango

First of all, excusez-moi for my absence the last two days. On Wednesday I had an amazing event to attend. I was invited by (my favorite!) blogger Yara from, to join her and 19 other cool bloggers to the Colormehappy event. As a public speaker, Yara kicked off the day by giving an exclusive trend class, where she shared her ideas about the latest trends and some tips & tricks about blogging. After lunch, we spent our giftcards on some serious shopping at Designer Outlet Roermond, where the event took place.  I went straight to the Filippa K store and treated myself to some pretty basics. Scoreeee!
It honestly was a great day and I got to meet a bunch of cool, inspiring people. Thanks everyone! 🙂

My accessories of the day
Lovely Yara doing her thang
Yummy smoothies during lunch
I bought a basic white oversized shirt and a striped dress from Filippa K. Totally happy with both! The clutch and the awesome Vogue notebook are some of  the great goodies we got
All smiles (and huge designer bags 😉

Monday Inspiration

Since it’s Easter Monday, it doesn’t feel like a Monday at all (yay!), and I still am in relaxing mode. Me and my family usually don’t do anything special around Easter, we just enjoy the extra days of basically. What are  your Easter routines?
Anyway, it still is Monday and so it’s time for another inspiration post to start the week. I love that door with the flowers around it, I think it’s on some Greek Island. Makes me long for summer instantly!

Alphabet Tag

The personal touch is one of the aspects of blogging that appeals to me most. That’s why I’ve decided to come up with a personal post: 26 random facts about me, in alphabetical order. Here they come:

Animals. I really love animals and I always hate it when there’s some terrible story about them in the news. It really just breaks my heart when people mistreat them.
Blogging. I started my blog back in 2010, after I had been blogging for a year on another blog. So I’m almost blogging for five years already, time flies! It still is one of the things I enjoy doing most.
Chocolate. Lots of it. Period.
Despicable me. Never in my life I laughed so hard about a movie before. It’s so fluffy!
Eight, as in eight years. That’s how long my boyfriend and I have been together now. We started as high school sweethearts and never got separated ever since. Cheesy but true!

Food. My friends always say that I am a happy camper as long as there’s food involved. It’s really not like I am eating all day, but I do enjoy a good meal.
Georges, my younger brother and my only sibling. Our parents gave us both French names.
Hard. It’s much harder than I expected to fill in all these letters with random stuff about me! I never really think about it actually.
#Igers. I always thought it was the weirdest hashtag to use and I never realized what it meant until I discovered it stands for “instagrammers”.
Jip, the name of one of my cats! If you want to see a picture of him, check out my Instagram. I do post occasional #catstagram pictures 😉

Knitwear. I have a soft spot for everything knitted, preferably oversized and heavy. I even have a special “knitwear” section in my wardrobe and it’s completely stuffed.
Laughing out loud! Sometimes I just can’t help but start laughing, in the most random moments. This happens a lot when my boyfriend helps me taking pictures for my blog. When he’s standing behind the camera for example, I can’t help but imagine him with weird hair or something. Hilarious!
Music, whenever I need to travel (doesn’t matter if it’s far or not) I always make sure I bring some earplugs. I listen to all kinds of music, from rock classics to hiphop. One of my favorite Dutch artists are The Opposites.
Night-robe. If it was me, it would be totally appropriate to walk in a night-robe all day every day. It’s probably the softest and warmest piece in my wardrobe and therefore I love it much.
Outfits: See one of my earliest outfit posts on this blog here. Just promise me you won’t laugh!

Pig. I really, really want a pet pig. Not a huge pig, but a cute mini pig. I’d name hime Kevin Bacon.
Quinoa. Never tried it, is it any good?
Running, I go for a run about three/four times a week. I love being outside and running just gives me lots of energy. I usually go in the mornings.
Sports in general. I used to practice tennis, volleybal and hockey as a kid.
Teun, short for Teunis, my boyfriend’s name. I still think it’s a funny name! And tulips, my favorite flowers.

Uni. I graduated back in March, yay! I got a bachelor’s degree in Fashion & Business.
Vespa. I would love to have one of those old skool Vespa’s. I think they’re so cool!
Watching movies. I enjoy hanging on the couch in the evening and just watch a good movie. Some popcorn makes things even better.
XXII, my age in Roman 😉
Yoghurt. At first, I really disliked it but lately I kinda enjoy eating it. Especially some frozen yoghurt of course!
Zombi series and movies. For some reason, me and my bf love watching stupid zombi stuff. We’re dedicated followers of the Walking Dead.

As I don’t want to make this post completely about me, I would like to ask you to tell a bit about yourself in the comments below. You don’t have to do the complete alphabet, just tell me something. Anything! Can’t wait to get to know you a bit more.

Denim Romance

You know those days that you really feel like wearing all loose fitted items? Well, I kinda felt that way last week and so I wore my bf jeans (which start to get completely ripped by now, I should go looking for a new pair!) mixed with an oversized cardigan and a loose top tucked in. Some heels to add a bit of chic to the overall shabby look and I was ready to go!

Cardigan: Sissy Boy
Jeans: H&M
Heels: Aldo

Current Wish List

Since I sold pretty much half of my wardrobe content, it’s now time to start filling up the emptiness again. I made a wish list with some stuff I really wouldn’t mind having in my closet. It contains pretty simple items, I think it’s important to start with a couple of basic items and then build from there. Do you have any shopping routines like that?
From left to right:
1. Sunnies: ZARA, 2. White blazer: ZARA, 3. Clutch: Antik Batik, 4. Striped skirt: Bershka, 5. Bracelet: H&M Conscious, 6. Sandals: ZARA, 7. BF Jeans: Rag&Bone, 8. Wrap skirt: Vila, 9. Poster: Esty

Wild at Heart

Channeling my wild side today: wearing leopard trousers. Anything leopard can be rather tricky when it comes to matching it with other items, so I kept the rest of the outfit a bit plain. Luckily I threw over a huge coat, ’cause the moment I stepped out the door this morning, it started raining like crazy again. The weather seems to be a weird mix of sun, wind and rain (or hail, yikes!) all at the same time lately. Hopefully it will be back to all sunshine soon!

Trousers: Zara
Coat: Vero Moda
Shoes: Converse

Monday Inspiration

After weekends, come Mondays. Who ever invented that?! We better just make the best of it, and so I’m kicking off this new week with a fresh inspiration post. It’s kinda getaway inspired, I must admit that I am really looking forward to the summer holidays! Especially since it’s pouring outside at the moment. I haven’t made up my mind yet on where to go, but I bet me and the bf will be brainstorming about that soon! What about you, have you made any crazy Summer plans yet?
For now, enjoy your week!
