While it still is winter, I think it’s okay to wear faux fur jackets. Even though it isn’t cold at all! Kind of the same story as with the big cardigan. One of the upsides of not too cold weather is being able to wear heels like this, without your toes freezing off. Of course, it’s not like your feet will be nice and warm, but it helps that I don’t have to be outside a lot at the moment. Hope you like the outfit!
Even though I am not an expert when it comes to make up, I do have some miracle workers which I would’t want to miss. After all, we girls simply like to look neat, non?
1. Garnier BB cream + primer
I honestly love this BB cream. It gives your skin a beautiful fresh glow without making it shiny or greasy. The primer is a must too: it makes sure that the BB cream lasts longer and it works as a blur.
2. Vaseline lip balm in cherry
Softens the lips and creates a nice, subtile color. The best remedy against dry lips! It smells really nice as well.
3. Inecto pure coconut hair serum
This is the perfect serum when you want your hair to get less fuzzy and more shiny. It doesn’t make your hair greasy and it doesn’t smell like coconut too much. I think most coconut products are too heavily scented.
What are your beauty essentials?
Monday: Time for yet another selection of images that I find inspiring. That long braid instantly makes me want to try out something like that with my hair, too. It’s getting longer already, but it’s not yet long enough, after I cut it in a shorter do two summers ago. It was nice at the time, but I really like my hair a bit longer as well. Enough of the hair talk already, let’s make this a great week!
Oh yes, the inevitable “what’s in your bag” post. Today I’ll be giving you a little peek on what I drag along on the daily. I always like these kind of posts on other blogs, so I thought why not create one myself. Usually though, I carry around a huge black bag and stuff it with all things
not so important. This time, I sticked to the essentials. From left to right:
“Girls” notebook – Bookmarc pencil (which has one very clear instruction on how to use) – Sunglasses (you never know!) – iPhone, usually including earplugs – Perfume – Some kind of accessory, in this case bangles – Coconut hair serum, the best against fuzzy hair – A little pouch for keys etc – A mirror – Lip balm – Disinfectant hand spray (especially when I need to use public transport)
If there’s one thing I’ll never get tired of, it’s looking for perfect basics. When I came across these t-shirt dresses, I immediately clicked them home. They have the perfect marl shades and a very versatile length. Plain pieces like these are so easy to dress up or down, I’ve already created tons of outfits with them for spring and summer. What are your best basics?
All that talk about spring got me in the mood for a little more color, so I decided to wear my floral bomber jacket today. It has quite a bright color scheme, exactly what I was looking for. I don’t usually wear a lot of bright colors, but every now and then I like to go a little crazy
It’s not often that I dedicate a whole post to one collection of a certain brand. But for this, exceptions can be made. I just LOVE H&M’s Spring 2014 collection. The shapes, the fabrics, the details (tassels! over knees!) just really fit my style and I cannot wait for it to hit the stores. Which it will in March. What do you think of the collection? Are you going to buy anything from it? Watch the video below!
For me, this week will mainly consist of prepping everything for next week: then I will be gone enjoying some snow and -occasionally- grabbing a board. That sounds much tougher then it will probably look like, cause it is actually going to be my first time! Excited, and a little scared at the same time.
